The Second Peak
We went back to the city to look at the fixer-upper again, the Taylor Road house again, and the development next to the Cleveland Clinic again. We have been pre-approved for our mortgage. We have investigated school options. We have spent countless hours on the internet searching neighborhoods and housing options. It is like climbing a mountain, reaching a summit, and realizing that there is yet another valley to cross before the peak is reached. It is an interesting process to, by faith, follow a path that we believe has been laid out before us.
House Shopping
Shopping, depending on who you are that word can either make you smile or want to run and hide! Shopping for a house in a city - when you've grown up and always lived in the country, has been a learn as we go situation. Today the lending officer at the bank called with our pre-approval for a mortgage - another key piece of our puzzle. They, however, will not give us a loan for a handy-man special. Their inspector will make sure that the house is in "move-in condition". Ok, that narrows our search again. Shopping for a house in Cleveland for us means hours on-line researching neighborhoods and houses for sale. Ken was up in Cleveland this weekend and was able to go inside a few that we liked on-line. We are still waiting for clear direction from our loving heavenly Father.
